Its the final count down.....
With less then a week to go until the Dartmouth Craft fair, and the weather forcing me to laze around sipping cold drinks I now find myself totally behind on what Im doing, nothing new there! except this time I am running the craft fair rather then just selling in one, so the room will look awesome, the flyers will be done and posted, but my stall is looking like it will have 4 cushions on it and not much else!! so sorry sunshine and cold drinks but, Im in doors for the next few days living like the crazed sewing hermit I know I really am!
I will also be posting updates on my facebook page www.facebook.com/JustSinead or catch up with all Dartmouth craft fair news at www.facebook.com/dartmouthcraftfair and if you are local to North London do pop by and support local craft!

Blog block!
Sometimes writing a blog can be hard, there are days then I have nothing to say and nights when my head is so full of ideas I want to get up and type away just so I might get some sleep!
Seeing as the last million posts have been about my craft fair, and to be honest most of my thoughts are being taken up by it, I will try and talk about something else...
Its been 3 weeks since I moved to St Albans, and Im still in dream land, I wake up every morning, go down to my kitchen, look out of my window and feel so happy that I live in such a nice place, its been a really long and hard battle to step away from London, and the comfort and ease that comes with it, but its amazing what a few weeks can do, the thought of squeezing of a crowded bus just to take my son to the park now seems insane, as does spending nearly every day in Costa coffee! I stare out of my window and see 10 different types of bird, baby rabbits and the odd duck nicking some bread. I must be crazy trying to run a new business, launch a craft fair, study for a second degree AND raise my cheeky son all at the same time, but it works, and the hard work will pay off.
right that s me done for a few days, Im off to make tote bags and bunting......

banking on bunting
So its mid May, and we have had rain, hail and the central heating on, the June bank holiday seems a long way off, but bunting wont wait for a sunny day, so Iv been cutting hundreds of fabric triangles, using up as much random fabric as I can, I still have a million things to be making, but with a house that looks like we have taken up squatting rather then just moved in, the sewing is going to have to wait, shelves need to go up, furniture assembled, and a craft corner to be created! The Dartmouth Craft fair is just around the corner, and Iv been working hard to bring together a great group of traders to offer a wide range of crafts and to show that there are so many talented and creative people out there holding down other jobs or being full time parents and still find a window in there lives to make something pretty!I hope we all enjoy the day, Il be the one in the corner having a panic attack I'm sure!

Craft fair craziness
So after a few weeks living in a box, the sewing machine is finally out, and being put to good use, first up Im taking on bunting, metres and metres of the stuff!, then its patchwork table cloths, cushions, and tote bags....all this will have to be done on a very sore thumb, which I somehow managed to mangle while hoovering, which goes to show house work is not only boring but dangerous! the Dartmouth craft fair is taking shape, with a lot of stall holders taking the plunge and doing their first fair, which Im over the moon about..so now the measuring, organising and stressing can begin...

Just Sinead
Good evening......what with moving an all, Iv had to put crafting on the back burner for a week or so, its amazing how time consuming moving house is! here was me thinking its only a few boxes, maybe a couple of bags of clothes and a bit or furniture..oh no no no, how wrong was I!, turns out, it was one borrowed van (still half full of gardening stuff), and 4 trips in a car (provided for by an amazing friend)
I learnt I own 30+ pairs of shoes...I have to add that nearly ALL those shoes where bought 5 or more years ago when I had what I fondly remember as a disposable income, and yet I still live in just the same 3 pairs I have done for the past 2 years. My son owns half of gap kids and Im a serious hoarder! two trips to the charity shop and several items on Ebay has lead me to believe that I (drum roll please......) I own WAY too much stuff....so now the hard part starts, starting to set up a home, thinking about school, and jobs, and money...which for 2 years I have been avoiding like the plague. crafting will be back on the ever increasing agenda, next in line is tote bags, bunting and cushions, plus if I have a minute spare the odd blog post. Just Sinead will be back....

hello stranger
hello blogger, its been awhile,
So an eventful week has begun in earnest! I have packed up my little flat in grimy Finsbury Park, many amazing memories where created there, my sons first steps, first words and first tooth! but happy to be out of there nontheless.I am now in the 'home counties' and I love it!.
In the process of moving I have learnt many things. I have 34 pairs of shoes and one random left shoe, I have many many DVDS I will never get around to watching, my son seems to own more toys then Hamleys, and I cant live with out a fridge!! but all in all a new start and a new attitude. I have a craft fair in London on the first Saturday in June, I am joining the W.I. in St Albans and I am packing my son off to nursery one whole day a week so I can make a real go of Just Sinead. Happy May! I have a feeling it will be a great month.
